What you pay yourself depends on your insurance group and on whether the service is covered by the clinic's agreement with the public health insurance. The specific service and price are always confirmed by the clinic before you book.

What you pay yourself depends on your insurance group and on whether the service is covered by the clinic's agreement with the public health insurance. This page explains the principles. The specific service and the specific price are always confirmed by the clinic, by phone or in writing, before you book. We do not state amounts here that have not been confirmed for your own case.
Group 1
If you are in insurance group 1 and have a valid referral from your own doctor, examinations and treatments covered by the clinic's agreement are paid by the public health insurance. You therefore pay nothing for those services. 1
Group 2
In insurance group 2 you may see a specialist without a referral, but there is usually a co-payment, because the public insurance only covers a subsidy equivalent to group 1. The subsidy rules are set by the authorities, not by the clinic. 1
Paying yourself
Some services fall outside the public offering. That typically covers treatment without a referral, cosmetically motivated procedures and services not covered by the clinic's agreement. Here you pay yourself. Contact the clinic for the price of the specific service.

Health insurance
If you have private health insurance, the insurer decides what is covered and what documentation they require. Clarify that with them before you book.
Worth asking about
- Exactly which service am I being quoted a price for?
- Is there anything to pay beyond what I am told, such as a tissue sample, pathology result or follow-up?
- Does the service require a referral in order to be covered?
- What happens to the price if the examination shows something other than expected?
- When and how is payment made?
We deliberately do not state here what a price includes, because it depends on the service. Ask, and have it confirmed.
Cancellation and non-attendance
If you cannot come, cancel in good time. Terms for cancellation and non-attendance are given with your appointment.

Online booking is not available. Please call the clinic or ask your GP for a referral, so we can find the right appointment.
If you are in health insurance group 1 and have a valid referral from your GP, the examinations and treatments covered by the clinic's public health agreement are covered by the Danish public health insurance, so you pay nothing for them yourself. If you are in health insurance group 2, there is usually a small co-payment under the health insurance rules. If you are paying yourself, contact the clinic for a price.
